Purpose

This Specification defines the job description of Maintenance Technician- Millwright Mississauga facility, as per the direction of the Talent Acquisition Procedure.


Process

Basic Function:

Responsible for performing preventive, planned and emergency maintenance in a production environment.

General Duties:

Responds to machine breakdowns and performs repairs as required.

Performs scheduled preventive maintenance procedures.

Assists with the installation of new plant equipment and systems and the relocation of existing equipment.

Performs lockout per posted instructions.

Keeps an accurate record of work performed, hours, and materials.

Responds as needed to emergency situations outside of regularly scheduled hours.


Follow standardized procedures for repair and preventive maintenance.

Fosters a clean and safe work environment by practicing 5S at all times.

Understands all downtime and interruptions are preventable and works towards a goal of zero.

Understands and responds to all Customer requirements, external and internal.

Communicates issues clearly with all other Team Members.


Specific Duties

Hydraulic: May be required to troubleshoot failures. Read and interpret hydraulic drawings.

Pneumatic: Troubleshoot failures. Read pneumatic drawings.

Fabrication: Fabricate or modify brackets/frames/etc. for equipment.

Robotics: Use teach pendent when troubleshooting or working on robotics including adjusting/manipulating/setting parameters for robotic movement. Attend basic safety and operation training by robotic manufacturers.

Injection Molding Machines (IMM): Understand clamping unit/Injection unit/hydraulic power system. Understand function of barrel/screw types/heating systems/hydraulic drives. Complete safety checks.


Education Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent

Technical school graduate with an Industrial Millwright ticket.

Experience Required:

Experience on the following machinery: Lathe, Milling Machine, Band saws, Grinders and Drill presses.

Pay Rate: $34.66 with a shift premium .75 cents for midnight shift

Must be flexible to work days and early afternoons shifts. (At a busy time will run afternoon shifts )

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Team in the Elora, ON is looking for a Dual Ticketed Electrician and Millwright with significant experience on electrical troubleshooting and installations. The successful candidate will have experience working in a fast paced, manufacturing environment and have a demonstrated ability to work safely, ensuring safe pant operations and a safe working environment for all employees.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Trouble shooting/repairs/installations of electrical and mechanical services with knowledge of 600 V AC and lower field wiring complete with a good grasp of associated instrumentation and control/PLCs.
• Carryout oral/printed work request and apply corrective measures in a timely fashion.
• Have intermediate grasp of related mechanical requirements and apply corrective measures.
• Perform PM and regular Work Orders and account for inventory and labour on computerized maintenance system. SAP experience is an asset.
• Welding repairs and/or fabrication of equipment parts to Safety standards
• Fulfill mechanical requirements of work orders and trouble shooting and repairs c/w requesting assistance where necessary
• Perform machining and sheet metal work for equipment repairs and/or upgrades to meet equipment and Safety spec’s
• Communicate daily repair activity with Supervisors and with other Departments
• Work in compliance with all Health and Safety.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
• Certified Journeyman Electrician with 5+ years’ experience with proof of completing the Industrial Apprenticeship Program
• Holds an Industrial Millwright Mechanic license with 2 – 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as an Industrial Mechanic
• Knowledge of conveyors, pumps / compressor, electrical / electronic controls and high-speed packaging equipment.
• Ability to complete work orders and organize and plan daily tasks with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a team based environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Plant environment 24-7, 2 shift operations (3 weeks days and rotates to 3 weeks nights)
• A fast-paced work environment with multiple, tight and changing priorities

TITLE: Operations Technician

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor

SCOPE:

Responsible for troubleshooting of automation equipment including various robotic and CNC machines within the facility, while following Safety, Quality and Environmental systems. Also, responsible for the maintenance of ISO/TS 16949 systems with respect to fixture and tool maintenance, set up control, and process inputs auditing, as well as assistance in machine set-up and problem resolution with respect to process control issues in the manufacturing environment. Troubleshooting and assisting with maintaining process controls within the operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Accurate and timely completion of preventive and predictive tool and fixture check sheets
 Accurate and timely completion of process input audit check lists for coolant, filtration, deburr and wash systems
 Audits and monitoring of machine set ups and tool changes
 Provide assistance to the supervisor, quality, engineer, systems technician, and production operators in the resolution of set up or process control problems. Recording of such process events in the machine logs
 Training operators on the proper safety, quality, and production procedures
 Ability to troubleshoot and teach automation equipment
 Work in compliance with EP Quality Systems
 Work in compliance with EP Safety Systems
 Work in compliance with EP Environmental Systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

 A technical degree\diploma in engineering technology or technologist program, or relevant industrial experience
 2 yrs minimum experience in the operations and set up of high volume CNC machining applications in a manufacturing environment, including CNC Machinist or CNC setup
 Certified to automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/TS 16949 Operating Systems
 Excellent problem solving skills
 Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization

Reporting to Production Supervisor Sealer is responsible for aircraft fuel tank sealing process while conforming to production demand/schedules and adhering to all applicable Company Health and Safety policies, procedures and safe work practices.

Sealers clean and seal fuel tank/airplane components and other parts of the aircraft. This position may require working in confined spaces of the wing fuel cells. Employees may be required to crawl through a small opening in order to get inside the fuel cell.

Position Summary
• Set up In-Tank tools at the begging of the shift (i.e. lights, gun, spatulas etc.)
• Communicate with co-workers about coordinating/planning of work duties at the beginning of shift.
• Report work progress at the end of the shift.
• Clean tank: vacuum and remove all FOD, use correct solvent, wipe heads of fasteners, tank rim and all surfaces where seal is applied.
• Apply seal to specifications; fillet seal, dome seal, injection seal.
• Indicate seal has been applied (wet seal) using tape and other tools.
• Keep work area clean and tidy; dispose of hazardous waste and store tools.
• Troubleshoot and problem- solve to come up with creative solutions when faced with obstacles to keep up with production demand.
• Use mirror technique of sealer application when working in an area that is not clearly visible.

Education

Job Description

In over 200,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space we stock over 5,000 quality food equipment and supplies for the food preparation market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively handle all inquiries from customers and sales force including but not limited to:
• Service commercial gas appliances, refrigeration products, and other cooking equipment.
• Work as a dedicated team member to ensure fast, flexible and expert service to every customer
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders
• Update SAP internal systems accurately and in a timely manner
• Able to troubleshoot by phone/email with customers to support and identify sources of malfunction or issues.
• Estimate repair costs, seek clients repair consent and, wherever sensible, coordinate to offer the client a replacement system.
• Repair of machine in a timely matter keeping all parts organized and categorized with system.
• Work toward distribution excellence, by prioritizing inquiries, ensuring timely service and being able to provide exact status information for every service inquiry.
• Support database management, by maintaining consistent and accurate client information.
• Administer spare parts loaner system warehousing; ensure sufficient stock of relevant components, inspect deliveries upon arrival, pack parcels for dispatch, keep record of stock and coordinate system replacement opportunities
• Trained as a mechanic, preferably experienced in the repair of medium-scale appliances and/or electro-mechanical machinery.
• Capable of scheduling daily activities according to their priority, work towards deadlines and digitally record workload.
• Assist in warehouse as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
Provide organized and knowledgeable support to customer inquiries and repairs pertaining to a wide range of gas and electric commercial food machinery including:
• Refrigeration (including sealed)
• Cooking equipment including gas and electric stoves
• Dishwashers
• Under-counter Ice Machines
• Meat grinders
• Dough mixers
• Wine Coolers both under-counter and cabinet styles
• Able to lift at least 30KG
• Valid Driver’s License
• Occasional travel required to service equipment
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency to meet customer time commitments
• Must interact and communicate well with customers and co-workers
