Maintenance Supervisor Maintenance Supervisor
Our client is currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to lead all maintenance activities ensuring the systems of an industrial laundry facility are appropriately functioning. Responsibilities include but are not limited to improving functionality and reliability of all production and facility equipment including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems equipment and components; managing and scheduling all plant and equipment work assignments; performing and scheduling all preventative maintenance assignments; developing and implementing safety processes and procedures; managing building, equipment, capital expenditures and parts and labor budgets; preparing maintenance reports; identifying and evaluating parts suppliers, negotiating with inside and outside service companies; conducting training for all maintenance staff; supervising and mentoring maintenance team; maintaining staffing levels; and responding to emergency alarms

Qualifications
• 5 years working experience repairing industrial processing equipment in an industrial environment or in the military is required
• Minimum two years supervision experience is preferred
• Equipment knowledge - wiring, electrical, electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery is required
• Maintenance management experience including planning, scheduling, budgeting, negotiating, parts management, vendor management and with maintenance management systems is required.

• Ability to read maintenance literature printed in English required
• Prior experience with and ability to read a blueprint is required.
• Basic Microsoft Office computer skills required.
• Boiler knowledge preferred.
• HVAC experience preferred
• Prior experience and ability to perform welding activities including MIG, TIG, ARC, cutting and brazing preferred.
• Ability to stand for up to 7 hours in an 8 hour shift required.
• Reliability certification such as CPMM or CRMP preferred.
• Ability to be on call 24 hours per day.

Job Summary

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Objective: To ensure that all molding machines, temperature regulators and controllers, robotics and feeding systems and all auxiliary equipment are running and maintained in excellent working condition. To perform preventative maintenance and keep accurate records of the dates and times of the service work on all key machinery and to be responsible for overall plant maintenance and repairs wherever needed.

Accountable to: Production Manager and Technical Supervisor.

Working Relationships: In addition to the above, Technicians will work closely with Logistics Manager, Floor Supervisors, and Quality Inspectors. Techs will frequently communicate with Set Up techs in order to clearly understand repair or service requirements.

The role of Maintenance Technician at our client requires an individual who is organized, self managing and self motivating. The job requires someone who wants to keep things clean, maintained, and operating at optimum levels at all times. The ability to document and record maintenance logs is necessary as is the capability to source parts where required.

Core Skills:

1. Efficient and effective maintenance and service of equipment. Emphasis on injection molding machines, dryers, temperature controllers, air compressors and water cooling.
2. Repair knowledge of all support equipment (grinders, conveyors)
3. Ability to quickly isolate and solve machinery and equipment problems.
4. Create and maintain accurate records and paperwork for service history.
5. Possesses strong mechanical knowledge of all plastic molding equipment.
6. Linear and logical problem solving abilities.
7. Full time permanent position on days.
8. Is a hands on job best suited to someone with proven history of injection molding plant experience. Dual ticket electrical and hydraulic is the most ideal but lengthy experience also considered.
9. Must be able to service and repair injection molding machines and axilary equipment.
10. Also general plant maintenance like lighting, doors. Simple maintenance services where needed.
11. A methodical thinker and trouble-shooter.
12. A strong communicator and records keeper.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Ensures that work is performed on molds and tooling using correct materials, safety checks are performed, and that organization and cleanliness is maintained.

• Troubleshoots throughout the molding process to ensure optimum mold utilization and performance.

• Perform safety checks, in-machine mold maintenance and repairs, lubrication, alignment checks and other various maintenance tasks.

• Changes inserts, cores, knives and associated parts as required.

• Recommends and implements improvements to molds and equipment.

• Trains molding operators and service personnel in the safe and proper operation and care of tooling.

• Maintains tracking system on mold service, parts inventory, and run time on molds. Ensure that documents are filled out correctly.
• Stops production if there is a problem with the product, personnel safety or potential damage to the equipment and/or tool and process.

• Leads the manufacturing team in testing/evaluating of repaired tools and new tools.

Organization
The incumbent reports to the Department Manager/Supervisor. The position will be required to work alongside plant personnel from all job classifications. In addition, the incumbent will on occasion interface with operations, technical and maintenance personnel at other plant locations or service providers to: collaborate, learn and improve operations performance associated with the role. There may be occasions, due to seasonal demand and production requirements that work schedules may be required to change.
Duties
 Responsible to manage all aspects of the production process, from raw material through to packaging finished parts.
 Lead role in line start-ups,monitor machine performance, product quality and ensure the machine is producing at standard rates, sheet gauge, etc.
