Job Duties & Responsibilities:

The person occupying this position will have exceptional skills to develop and create physical artifacts, production processes, and technology. It is a very broad area which includes the design, development of products, evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials; conferring with equipment vendors, soliciting observations from operators.

Responsibilities:
1. Manage program quality launches; complete Supplier and Customer sampling, control plan requirements; ensuring that all products shipped meet all Customer dimensional, material systems specifications or documented deviations to those specification.
2. Independently design, execute and evaluate quality systems particular to assigned products, such as FMEA, control plans, PPAP requirements, etc.
3. Participate actively in PPAP (Product Part Approval Process).
4. Contribute as an active member of the APQP team.
5. Optimizing all parameters to attain maximum running efficiencies for each job through creation of Standardized Work procedures (line speeds, cycle times, TaKT times, etc.)
6. Leading tool designs/gauges to ensure they are built to deliver customer deliverables and will run to the quoted standard.
7. Ensure and advance all shop floor documentation as required.
8. Maintain all tool and equipment design specifications and ensure library is up to date.
9. Ability to travel as required resolving issues that may arise.
10. Material compound analysis.
11. Ensure all products (purchased & manufactured) are to the appropriate engineering change level.
12. Maintain and update long range CRP on network, also plant layout drawings.
13. Responds to CARs, 8D’s, ECRs or suggestions as assigned.
14. Ensure enforcement of compliance of Customer Specific Requirements, QMS (TS16949), EMS (ISO14001), and security (PIP) requirements.
15. Strive for the highest possible Customer rating.
16. Initiate and/or participate in continuous improvement activities.
17. Promote and comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, safe operating procedures, good housekeeping practices and the observance of protective equipment requirements at all times.
18. Attend authorized training in order in to develop and/or maintain relevant job-related knowledge, techniques, skills, and/or certification.
19. Any other reasonable duty requirement by Management.

Basic Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
• University degree in Engineering.
• ASQ “Certified Quality Engineer” certification an asset.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and math data including geometric dimensioning an tolerance.
• Working knowledge of statistical techniques.
• Strong technical background.
• Proficient with RED “X” or similar root causing tools, SPC/CIP and Six Sigma techniques, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, APQP and DOE.
• Well-developed communication, organizational, interpersonal and analytical abilities.
• Sound computer skills, including knowledge of software in current use.

Account Management Specialist Job Summary

The Account Management Specialist acts as the primary day-to-day contact for customers within an assigned customer account group which may include retail, durable goods, automotive, electronic commerce providers, etc. The Account Management Specialist will act as the primary liaison between the company and the customers, meeting customer expectations and working to resolve any issues for the customer. Once the on-boarding of these customers has occurred, the Account Management Specialist will monitor and report order acceptance, order maintenance and accessorial management by the use of various transportation management systems. The Account Management Specialist reports to the Manager, Account Management.

Essential Job Functions

• Develop a proactive relationship with the assigned customer accounts by resolution of issues and concerns in a timely manner and provide innovative solutions.
• Determine which accessorial charges can be billed and follow company process to successful conclusion, minimizing disputes, assisting in collections and working with Account Managers on solutions to reduce accessorial charges.
• Manage, monitor and report order acceptance, order maintenance and accessorial management by email, phone and use of various transportation management systems.
• Offer alternative transportation solutions as necessary by analyzing internal and external account metrics.
• Manage assigned customer accounts to ensure they receive the best product at the lowest possible cost; maximize margin, network efficiency and On-Time Performance (OTP).
• Communicate with shipper and consignee contacts regarding exception notification and problem resolution.
• Maximize profitability and reduce customer cost exposure by working with Operations to properly manage assets such as container pools.
• Maintain quality service by monitoring standards; advising supervisor of potential problems. Work with Manager, Account Management and Operations Group to address and resolve single load concerns in a timely manner.
• Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or management preferred.

Salary $45,000 - $55,000 based on experience level

• Experience in the transportation industry preferred.
• Experience with EDI processes, Web Tender Portals, fax and other applicable forms of electronic communication preferred.

Scope of Position
The Quality Engineer is responsible for driving strategic quality initiatives while working directly with both internal and external customers. This position will drive systemic quality improvement throughout MHICA. The Process Quality Engineer has the responsibility to identify opportunities and provide leadership to make quality a competitive advantage for MHICA organization and its customers.
Position Summary
• Maintain and create indicator to monitor quality improvement process.
• Key role in customer audits, quality system audits, process product audits and effective corrective action closure.
• Identify and execute projects leading to standardization of inspection process and root cause analysis activities.
• Develops and maintains proactive MHICA quality requirements and quality focus attitude which translates customer quality needs in continuous quality process improvements.
• Create, review and update quality process documents (inspection procedures and work instructions) and other specific documents in compliance with customer requirements quality standard AS 9100 and other statutory/regulatory requirements related to the product.
• Works closely with the shop floor to support R.C.A. on internal/external issues

Selection Criteria
Education
• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
• A strong quality background in aerospace industry, familiarity with aerospace parts and assemblies, manufacturing (machining) and assembly processes.
• CPE/CQA certification with ASQ would be an asset
Experience
• 3-5 years of experience in aerospace and/or automotive quality control/quality assurance with progressively increasing level of responsibility and demonstrated leadership role.
• Experience and knowledge regarding structure assembly process related to machined aircraft components, sheet metal and aircraft assembly inspection requirements
• Previous experience with Quality Management System AS 9100 Rev C requirements and process / product audit.
• Previous MRB experience preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical data analysis and problem solving methodologies
• Superior ability to read and understand technical drawings – GD&T.
• Good decision making skills and ability to interact with cross functional teams.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects at once.
• Demonstrated strong skills in leadership, initiative as well as teamwork, organized and able to work under pressure.
