Position – Raymond Reach Shipper / Receiver

Essential Functions:
• Receive product and process accordingly
• Compare product received to packing slips and identify discrepancies
• Work with Accounts Payable to resolve discrepancies between packing slips and invoices
• Perform data entry to research orders as well as input data for products received
• Direct materials to/between outside vendors
• Load and unload trucks by hand and/or with material handling equipment
• Process shipments daily with complete accuracy
• Issue approved parts as needed to production departments point of use from incoming inspection
• Maintain all inventory in a neat and orderly fashion
• Conduct daily inventory counts
• Assure proper storage and stock rotation as required to preserve shelf life
• Manage all shipping paperwork
• Process warehouse transfers through WMS system as required
• Assists with training of others
• Strict compliance to FDA and OSHA standards and record keeping
• Adheres to all safety policies
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to maintain a clean, safe work area
• Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
• Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Minimum of one year experience of safely using powered industrial trucks (such as forklifts, stand-ups, sit-downs, cherry-pickers, etc.) and pallet jacks
• Forklift certification preferred
• Stand-up/reach truck certification preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
• Bending, twisting and/or squatting may be required
• Flexible to work overtime with little or no notice
• Ability to work a staggered or second shift
• Experience with small package and LTL processing preferred
• WMS system experience preferred
• Good organization skills helpful
• Previous data entry experience preferred
• Basic computer skills preferred
• Demonstrated ability to understand and follow instructions as directed
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
• Knowledge of proper problem-solving skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
RF (radio frequency) scanner experience

Job Description:
Shipping/Receiving · 30% Operating a Raymond Reach forklift
· 70 % Order picking and preparing products for shipping
· Pay attention to detail and safety procedures (TDG preferred but not required)
· Repetitive work bending, twisting, standing for long periods of time
· All other duties as assigned by supervisor
· Safety shoes; proper dress attire is long pants and t-shirt unless otherwise stated


$16.50/hr to start

Day Shift 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday

Order picker / Shipping clerk Order Picker/Preparing & Shipping Orders is responsible for the following:
1) Pulls materials to accurately fill as per customer invoice, ensuring that all aspects of the order are achieved.
2) Marks goods as shipped and assists customers with loading materials.
3) Prepares orders for pick up by assembling order, banding and marking order with customer’s name.
4) Marks on invoice the location of the completed order in readiness for quick pick up
5) Advises customers of proper shipping and loading policies; responds to customer inquiries.
6) Operates chop saw and table saw to cut materials to size following guidelines.
7) Advises Inventory Control Lead of stock shortages.
8) Participates in inventory counts.
9) Refers any problems with the order/invoice to the department Lead.
10) Add input productivity into computer system once build is complete.
11) Follows a two signature process for all picked orders.
12) Serves walk-in Customers.
13) Teamwork – works responsively and collaboratively. May be assigned other responsibilities based on the changing needs of customers or the business.

Skills Required:
- Forklift certification an asset.
- Product knowledge of wood species and profiles preferred.
- Organizational skills – must be able to prioritize and keep work environment clean and safe.
- Customer Service Skills – responsiveness and courtesy in responding to customer inquiries and pick-ups.
- Basic math skills – calculate lengths.
- Accuracy – administrative tasks require attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic, attendance, and great attitude.
- Respectful, accurate and timely communication with others.

The Production Operator is responsible to providing assistance to the production staff in completing their assigned tasks.

Responsibilities:
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
• Operate basic hand tools such as saws and drills. Safely use shop machinery such as a press, shearer and decoiler.
• Assemble materials to create final products using above mentioned tools and machines.
• Lift and carry merchandises as needed.
• Load and unload materials from delivery trucks.
• Packing, wrapping, labeling, and/or shipping products. Maintain shipping and receiving logs and makes sure that incoming and outgoing products and material are in good condition.
• Provide manual labour assistance on various tasks as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires a moderate to high degree of standing, walking, stooping or kneeling, close eye work, reaching, pulling or pushing. Good hand dexterity, hearing, and vision are considered essential. A moderate to high degree of repetitive motions using right, left, or both hands and/or feet may also be required. Requires wearing personal protective equipment. Requires working indoors in environmentally non-controlled conditions (wood working environment, wood dust, poly plastic dust). Includes responsibility for the health and safety of others.
Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to read and understand equipment operation manuals, Safety Data Sheets, and other literature as required.
