$25.15 per hour
• Afternoon and overnight shift premiums available
• After 3 months: $25.34 per hour
• Benefits available after 3 months (through client company)

Our client is a recognized leader with many years of technical expertise, manufacturing experience, and product design innovation. They provide complete solutions for advanced surfaces, polymer materials, and edge-banding products used across North America.
The Extruder Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and tearing down the extrusion process used to produce polymer edge banding products in accordance with the North America Quality Plan.
This role requires maintaining equipment, monitoring product quality, supporting production teams, and ensuring manufacturing processes operate efficiently and safely.
• Set up extruder equipment and adjust running temperatures
• Set up pigment loaders and manage colour materials
• Monitor extrusion processes to ensure product quality standards
• Produce batches of product according to formulation procedures
• Ensure production containers and packaging materials remain clean and suitable for use
• Assist with colour matching and ink adjustments for print jobs
• Maintain equipment stored on shadow boards
• Clean and return dies to the die shop following procedures
• Assist with moving production waste and managing regrind material
• Work cooperatively with production staff to complete manufacturing tasks
• Provide training and instruction to assistants or temporary staff when required
• Ensure all manufacturing equipment and powered lifting equipment are used safely
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Assist with spill control and cleanup when required
• Follow company policies related to hygiene, safety, and quality
• Attend required training sessions
• Complete other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Lead Hand
Preferred qualifications include:
• High School Diploma
• Experience with extrusion processes or colour matching
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
Candidates must:
• Pass an Operator aptitude test
• Pass the Munsell colour hue test with a minimum rating of average colour perception
• Demonstrate strong communication skills with supervisors and lead hands
This role requires:
• Climbing stairs to access loaders
• Lifting materials such as pigment boxes and dies (up to 20 kg)
• Standing and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
The work environment may include:
• Loud manufacturing equipment
• Dust and plastic materials
• Chemical smells or handling associated with production processes
