Our client is recognized as Canada’s leading food ingredient supplier, distributing a wide range of raw materials for the food and personal care market and specializing in the manufacture of antioxidants, release agents, bakery concentrates, dough conditioners and vitamin and mineral enrichment blends. 

 

Pay Rate: $20.15/hr

Shift: 3 rotating shifts (rotate every 4 weeks)

Days- Monday to Thursday 7 am to 7 pm

Nights- Wednesday to Saturday 7 pm to 7 am

Split- Monday, Tuesday night 7 pm to 7 am and Friday Saturday day 7 am to 7 pm

 

Major Intersection: Orenda & West Dr. 

Position function:  Materials Movement and Production Break Relief

Key Accountabilities:

·         Responsible for operating powered equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product.

·         Responsible for checking all inbound and outbound products.

·         Ensures products are free of damage and infestation, product code dates are properly recorded and products match customer requirements per our Quality Plans.

·         Support production’s needs through break relief.

 

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:    

·         Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using a forklift, clamp truck, or other power equipment 80% of specified shift.

·         Pull and prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and types of products is loaded.

·         Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy.

·         Comply with all OHSA and SDS standards.

·         Verify load accuracy; check the load count, stability, and product damage report variances as necessary.

·         Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as necessary. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

·         Assist in physical inventories.

·         Complete daily inspection of equipment.

·         Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

Education, Experience & Specialized Knowledge

•       Valid Forklift Certification required

•       High School Diploma or Equivalent

•       Good verbal and written communication skills (including the ability to read and write English)

•       Six months forklift operation experience

•       A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail

•       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to tilt and move 200Kg drums

•       Experience using verniers calipers, ruler

 

Certifications, Designations & Licenses

·         Forklift certificate

Skills:

•       Requires minimal problem solving skills.

•       Ability to work with minimal supervision.

•       Demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport and work collaboratively with employees at all levels.

•       Good verbal and written communication skills, complete

 

Physical Effort & Environmental Conditions

 

•       Manufacturing environment.

•       Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and to tilt and move 200Kg drums

•       Attendance in manufacturing facility and exposure to materials and conditions therein.
