🏥 Work Environments: Assisted Living Communities, Retirement Residences, and Long-Term Care / Nursing Homes

Pay

$30.00 – $36.00 per hour (depending on facility and experience)

Schedule

Shifts available include:

• Day shifts
• Afternoon shifts
• Evening shifts
• Overnight shifts
• Weekends and statutory holidays

Flexible availability is an asset.

Position Overview

Front Line Work Force Inc. is currently seeking Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to provide nursing care and clinical support within retirement homes, assisted living communities, and nursing homes.

In this role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure residents receive safe, high-quality care while maintaining dignity, independence, and quality of life.

 


Key Responsibilities

Resident Care

• Provide direct nursing care to residents according to individualized care plans
• Monitor resident health status and report changes to physicians or supervisors
• Assist residents with activities of daily living when required

Medication & Treatment Administration

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor medication effectiveness and document appropriately
• Ensure safe medication storage and administration practices

Health Monitoring

• Assess and monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being
• Respond to medical concerns or emergencies appropriately
• Maintain infection prevention and control standards

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and resident records
• Communicate effectively with healthcare teams, residents, and families
• Participate in care conferences and team meetings

Leadership & Support

• Supervise and support Personal Support Workers and care staff
• Assist in maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents
• Follow facility policies, procedures, and Ministry regulations

 


Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) Diploma
• Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check

Experience working in retirement homes, assisted living communities, long-term care facilities, or healthcare environments is considered an asset.

 


Physical Requirements

This role may require:

• Standing or walking for extended periods
• Assisting residents with mobility and transfers
• Responding to emergencies and urgent care needs
