Front Line Health Care offers support to agencies, organizations and institutions that work with children, adolescents, adults and seniors who are experiencing behavioural, social, emotional and psychiatric difficulties.

Job Description:
We have a new opportunity for a client in Mississauga that may need on-going support. They are looking DSWs (Developmental Service Workers) on 1-month full-time contracts. Shifts can begin as early as 8:00 AM and finish as late as 7:30 PM, so flexibility and availability during those hours is important. Also adding some part time hours in the summer. The position will involve working with residents with Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities.
Qualifications:

• CPR, CPI, or BS trained — these are not required but are definitely considered strong
• U.M.A.B certified preferred - may have In-house training certificates assets and they have also completed current Vulnerable sectors check in the last 6 months
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, hands-on experience specifically young adults who exhibit high aggression when dysregulated
• Reliable transportation to and from work is a must, along with a valid G driver’s license
• Ideally, candidates will also have previous experience driving individuals with special needs to community events and appointments

Must be able to think on their feet, show initiative, remain composed in high-pressure situations.

All candidates must be physically able to meet the demands of the role safely and reliably.

**Strong written and verbal English communication skills. We need staff who are comfortable and effective in collaborative clinical enviroments as well as in conversations with families.

We’re looking for people who are not only trained, but who truly have the temperament and hands-on experience required to work in environments that can be challenging but are also incredibly rewarding.

Pay: $21.00 per hour
