Position Overview

Front Line Work Force Inc. is currently seeking Child & Youth Workers (CYW) and Social Service Workers (SSW) to support clients in residential, community, and group home settings.

Successful candidates will work with children, adolescents, and adults experiencing behavioural and mental health challenges, providing direct care, behavioural support, and assistance with daily living activities.

This role requires individuals who are patient, compassionate, adaptable, and confident in managing complex behaviours while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.

 


Key Responsibilities

Client Support

• Provide direct care and supervision to clients in residential or community environments
• Assist with daily living activities and personal development programs
• Encourage independence, social development, and positive coping strategies

Behavioural Support

• Support clients experiencing behavioural challenges using positive behaviour management techniques
• Maintain a calm and structured environment during crisis situations
• Assist with behaviour plans developed by care teams

Program Participation

• Participate in structured activities and therapeutic programming
• Support community integration and recreational activities

Documentation & Communication

• Maintain clear documentation and daily logs
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, supervisors, and families
• Report incidents or behavioural changes as required

 


Qualifications

Applicants must have:

• Child & Youth Worker Diploma or equivalent such as Social Service Worker (SSW)
• Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance
• First Aid and CPR Certification
• Behaviour Management Certification (required – training may be provided)

 


Experience

• Previous experience working in child and youth services, mental health, or behavioural support environments
• Experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural needs is considered an asset

 


Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
