Approximately 37.5 hours per week
Full-time shifts:
Monday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Part-time shifts available:
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Additional shifts may be available based on operational needs.

Front Line Work Force Inc. is currently seeking a Housekeeping / Kitchen Aide to support a shelter environment in Hamilton.
This role focuses primarily on cleaning and maintaining facility spaces, with some light meal preparation and food service for residents. Residents in the program may include individuals who have experienced homelessness, and the successful candidate must demonstrate compassion, patience, and professionalism.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Clean common areas including kitchens, bathrooms, and communal living spaces
• Clean exterior areas including portable washrooms and surrounding facility spaces
• Ensure cleaning supplies and equipment are used and stored safely
• Assist with food preparation and meal serving
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Follow food safety and hygiene procedures
• Assist with general household duties and facility upkeep
• Support daily routines within the shelter environment
• Maintain accurate daily logs and documentation when required
• Follow all workplace health and safety standards
• Comply with agency policies and applicable ministry regulations
• Use proper lifting techniques and follow safe work practices
• Assist residents when appropriate
• May accompany residents to appointments when required
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
The position may require:
• Standing or walking for extended periods
• Repetitive bending, twisting, and lifting
• Handling cleaning supplies and equipment
Applicants must have:
• Valid CPR / First Aid Certification
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check (within 1 year)
• TB 2-Step Skin Test or Chest X-Ray clearance (within 1 year)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Compassion and patience when working with vulnerable populations
• Comfort working in environments where animals/pets may be present
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience
• Experience working in shelters, community housing, or social service environments
• Food preparation or kitchen support experience
